The specialty-built torque converter is custom manufactured to perfectly match the exact stall speed of the Cummins torque curve, allowing the turbocharger to start making boost pressure at the lowest RPM range possible. Properly-designed turbine, impeller, and stator mean that torque multiplication is maximized providing a very smooth power transfer and maximum torque transfer from the engine to the transmission at an RPM that is well within the beginning of the torque curve of the engine. The lock up section of the converter is ATS’ patented Viskus Clutch pack design that allows for a smooth transition from fluid coupling to a 100% mechanical engagement, providing over 3000 foot pounds of torque transfer without slip! The PWM application of the 4R-Performance trans can be utilized in the programming to slowly apply the TCC, providing a soft application while not damaging the TCC. All this translates to an even RPM drop any time the TCC clutch is applied.
Under high horsepower applications, this is the clutch that won’t let you down. In a manual transmission, the clutch is the sole component that is responsible for putting all your truck’s power to the ground. A clutch should be a 100% efficient power transfer, but an overpowered factory clutch can’t hold the power output and starts to slip. Upgrading to a clutch that can hold the power will yield the best results.

ATS billet flex plates are SFI approved, meaning that they stand up to the toughest race application standards. Transmissions, by their nature, create immense amounts of friction. The best way to combat this friction is to use the oil to help with lubricity and keep heat down. While it does a good job, it can still overheat as the transmission works harder. The caused heat in turn decreases the oils lubricity, causing it to not performing the job well and leading to faster wear on transmission clutches.
TS deep pans add more fluid capacity to your transmission to help keep it cool! Heat is the number one enemy of a transmission and the cooler it runs the longer it lasts! ATS deep pans feature a finned design, magnetic drain plug and are tapped for a temperature probe. All pans are powdercoated black with machined ATS logo and fins.
ATS pans come with a gasket, and some models come with a billet block to lower the factory filter to the bottom of the pan. A transmission filter is not included.

This is the manifold that started it all. ATS developed it to improve the air flow going into your motor. This frees up some extra horsepower simply enlarging the manifold’s internal diameter, and also gives it a unique shape as well as bends that maximize the induction of air. Also included in the Arc Flow are three predrilled and taped ports for boost gauge, nitrous, water/meth injection, or anything else that you would want. They come plugged, so you can run this straight out of the box.

Feed the demand of your injectors by being able to supply more fuel.
The CP3 injection pump is found on Cummins and Duramax common rail diesels, and is the fuel pump that pressurizes fuel, over 25,000 PSI. Under the high demand of fuel in some high horsepower tunes, a factory pump simply cannot keep up with the commanded volume or pressure. When this happens, you get a condition referred to as "draining the rail." What this means is that your injectors have let out more fuel that the CP3 pump can produce at a given time. With the replacement of the factory CP3 with an ATS modified pump, you are able to keep up with that commanded fuel, so you can get the amount of power that the tune is commanding.

Injectors become a necessary upgrade to allow more fuel into the cylinder under high horsepower conditions.
The factory fuel injectors can only support a certain amount of horsepower before they simply become a "road block." ATS hones out all of its injectors to allow them to flow much higher rates of fuel. The reconfiguration of the nozzles also improves the spray pattern, so ATS puts the fuel in a more optimum position. Along with this, fuel atomization is improved to allow for a more violent explosion in the cylinder, which will result in more power and better efficiency. One other benefit of having bigger injectors is that the truck can have larger amounts of fuel injected at a faster rate, so injector pulsewidth can be reduced.

Get rid of the restrictive and weak factory manifold(s) for the Big Foot high-flowing system.
The single most restrictive point in the exhaust system is the first section that it hits, the exhaust manifold(s). ATS increased the internal diameter by 30% in critical areas to allow for decreased back pressure and allow those gases to drive the turbo. Not only did ATS increase flow, be it also made the manifolds out of High Silica Moly, a metal alloy, the material that is vastly stronger than the factory cast manifolds are made of. Those areas that are prone to cracking are no longer a problem.
