How do i identify my Dart block and heads?

What dipstick tube fits my SBC SHP and Little M Block?

Dart recommends using a Transdapt PN# 9420. This is a steel tube kit that includes the indicator. We recommend cutting the tube about one inch from the bottom of the stop to clear the splayed main cap.

Do I need to run the O-ring under the main cap of my Dart Big M Block?

No, the O-ring is not needed due to the precision CNC machined surfaces between the cap and block register. The machined surfaces will create a natural seal eliminating the use of the factory O-ring gasket.

Do I need to drill stream holes in my heads when using a Dart block?

No, you do not need to drill steam holes in your heads when using Dart blocks. This SBC blocks are designed with scalloped water jackets that add additional cooling capacity around the cylinders eliminating the need for steam holes.

What oil pan gasket should I use on my Dart block?

SHP SBC Block

Felpro #OS34510T, this is a one piece gasket with provisions for both drivers and passenger side dipstick.

Felpro #1881, this is a one piece gasket with steel core passenger side only dipstick, with stroker clearanced side rails.

Little M SBC Block

Felpro # OS34510T, this is a one piece gasket with provisions for both drivers and passenger side dipstick.

Felpro #1803, this is a four piece set.
