The wheels and tires on medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks have to carry heavy loads over all types of surfaces, from smooth interstates to poorly maintained, rutted and potholed secondary roads, to the dirt, gravel, and rocks of off highway terrain, and they must reliably provide this exceptional performance for many thousands of miles. Nevertheless, eventually even the best tires wear out or suffer damage, and the toughest wheels can still become scraped, cracked, dented, and bent, and that’s when it’s time to see us. We have factory replacement alloy and steel wheels in all popular sizes, for single and dual wheel applications, and commercial tires for every weather condition and local, long haul, and on/off highway usage. Plus, we offer many other wheel and tire related necessities including lug nuts and wheel locks, wheel covers, tire chains, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensors, and wheel accessories.
Without question, a damaged wheel will detract from the appearance of an otherwise great looking rig, but more importantly, a damaged wheel can be a safety hazard. It may not hold air, it may not track properly, it may adversely affect handling, and it could cause annoying vibration that can also prematurely wear wheel hub and bearing, suspension and driveline parts. One or more damaged wheels can also cause problems during a roadside or check station safety inspection. Inspection of wheels and tires should be a task on the checklist of a regular preventive maintenance and inspection plan, and we have the replacements you need if any damage is found. On our digital shelves you’ll find a large selection of new and remanufactured aluminum alloy and steel wheels in all popular diameters, widths, offsets, bolt patterns and load ratings. These wheels are made to original equipment specifications, ensuring perfect fit and appearance and the same level of performance and durability, but at a better price.
Our commercial tire collection is even more expansive. We’ve assembled a wide range of tires in sizes and load capacities for fitment on all popular medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks, and our selection features tires for all weather conditions including all season, summer, and winter/snow tires, so you can get the traction, performance and economy you need in the environment you drive in the most. These tires have further specialty classifications, so you can get the tires that are appropriate for how you use your truck and the tire’s position on the vehicle. We have tires designed for the long haul on highways, for use in regional/urban areas, and for on/off-road use.
Most of our commercial tires feature variations of 2 basic tread designs - ribbed, characterized by parallel grooves around the circumference of the tire, and individual blocks or lugs, separated by grooves that run laterally and perpendicular to the sidewall - along with specific rubber compounds and casing construction optimized for each application. Ribbed tires generally have lower rolling resistance and are used in applications where optimal fuel efficiency is most important. They are commonly used on the steering axle and the free-rolling axles on trailers, and on drive axles when traction is not an issue. Block or lug tread tires are used on the drive axle to provide bite when increased traction is needed.
The tires we offer for over-the-road tractor trailers have tread and rubber compound engineered for optimal fuel mileage and long tread life. And while miles per gallon and tread life are also important for tires on trucks used for pickup and delivery in regional and urban areas, they also must have the casing strength and durability to deal with curb scrubbing, potholes and the twisting that goes with making more frequent turns on city streets, especially on steer axle installations. Dump trucks and construction vehicles driven on and off the road need our on/off highway tires, which resist abrasion, cuts, and punctures for reliable performance on both smooth and rough surfaces. We also have many tires designed for multiple applications.
Truck drivers don’t have the luxury of staying home when the weather’s bad. Cargo must be delivered, and jobs have to get done regardless of Mother Nature’s plans. When the roads are covered with ice and snow and you absolutely must get to your destination, there’s no substitute for tire chains, and chain fitment is required in many areas during the winter. Our metal link and cable chains will dig into the slipperiest surface and provide grip that even off-road rubber with the most aggressive tread patterns can’t deliver. And you can get this traction no matter what you drive because we offer tire chains for everything from medium-duty trucks to tractor trailers. Our selection of chains is huge, with applications designed exclusively for highway use to beefy studded chains ideal for off-road, construction and forestry use, and many more, so you’re sure to find the chains that are perfect for your truck, and all our chains are made from hardened, wear resistant alloys for durability.
The average lug nut is subjected to corrosion and discoloration from the elements. Plus, the surface of the lug nuts can be further marred by lug wrenches and impact guns every time they’re removed and installed. Don’t let wheel lugs like that detract from the appearance of your wheels. Our lug nuts are triple chrome plated to resist corrosion and provide long-lasting shine that won’t rust, chip, or peel. And if chrome’s not your thing we also have lug nuts that come anodized in a variety of colors. We also offer wheel locks to prevent the theft of your wheels. Like our lug nuts, they’re made of tough, hardened steel. We have wheel locks and lug nut sets for alloy and steel wheels in a variety of styles. The easiest way to upgrade the security and appearance of your wheels and tires is with one of our wheel installation kits.
In addition to the above, you’ll find many more parts and accessories to help with the service and care of your wheels and tires. If your truck is equipped with TPMS we have replacement sensors as well as sensor service kits, but if you don’t have this important safety feature we have Bluetooth enabled sensors that install right on your existing valve stems and report tire pressure information to an app on your smartphone. If your wheels are serviceable but the finish has seen better days, there’s no need to replace them, just install our chrome-plated wheel simulators. But before you give up on those wheels, try giving them a good a good cleaning with our spray-on wheel cleaner to remove grease, grime, and brake dust buildup. Follow up with our wheel polish and tire dressing for a great look.
