These brake pads by Centric are engineered, designed, and manufactured to meet the demands of hard working vehicles. Maximizing braking performance in the most severe driving conditions such as high-mileage and pursuit driving situations, these pads can safely stop vehicles from high speeds regardless of pad temperature. This is because they're made of para-aramid composites that ensure linear response at any temperature of the pad. That formula also ensures fade resistance for long and reliable service life. The pads are scorched to raise initial cold effectiveness and stabilize friction levels right out of the box providing consistent performance across the entire operating range. Centric Fleet Performance brake pads are manufactured using the same positive molding process utilized by OE suppliers to assure consistent friction material density throughout the pad, resulting in even wear and performance characteristics throughout the life of the brake pad.
Centric Fleet Performance Brake Pads have been tested to ensure superior performance in a variety of driving conditions. The first test is The AK Master Test, which is an industry standard friction wear and noise screening test developed by European automotive engineers to establish the overall performance of friction materials. The other one is The Police Cruiser Drive Cycle Test, which simulates city driving and typical driving conditions for a large percentage of fleet vehicles. The test consists of more than 4000 stops with a wide range of speed and time variations between stops.
These brake pads by Centric comply to current brake friction material state legislation such as CASB346 California Brake Friction Legislation, WA6557 Washington Brake Friction Legislation, and others. To meet all requirements, Fleet Performance brake pads are 100% asbestos- free. As a member of the Brake Manufacturers Council, Centric has been involved in the development of the LeafMark and edge code legislation. This code can be found printed on every Fleet Performance brake pad manufactured after January 1, 2014 and indicates the level of compliance with state friction material content legislation.
