Accessory drive belts wind their way around such components as the power steering pump, water pump, air conditioning compressor, and alternator propelling them when the engine is running. While newer vehicles have a single serpentine belt to drive all accessories, older vehicles use separate V-belts for each component. This Dayco V-belt is especially designed for vehicles that utilize V-belts. Check V-belts for wear, including evidence of cracking, fraying, and glazing. These conditions can cause noise, excessive slippage, and reduced functionality of the accessory being powered. To avoid this, replace any belt at the first signs of wear.
This product is engineered and manufactured to provide efficient power transmission to the vehicle accessory. The belt combines raw-edge sidewall construction that contributes to controlled slippage around pulleys with Dayco’s patented top cogged design for excellent performance. Designed to deliver more flexibility and increase airflow around the belt, this component runs cooler and lasts longer compared to most competitive belts. With three plies of neoprene impregnated fabric, the product is resistant to oil, heat, and grease, while its specially-formulated treatment of the polyester cord ensures durability, stability, and reliability.
