Fuel System Saver by Exergy Performance®. The System Saver Inlet Valve was designed a bit differently than the OEM valve, Exergy made improvements to the screen that is upstream of the valve inlet. The OEM screen is a single 80-Micron layer and is extremely flimsy, the OEM screen is prone to tearing and introducing massive amounts of debris from the failed pump into the injectors. The System Saver is rated at 25-Microns and is double wrapped in two layers and does a significantly better job of keeping debris from entering the rest of the fuel system.
With their background in OE development and manufacturing they bring a unique perspective to the high performance world. They know what features and specifications need to be to ensure proper function, they know how to produce them and how to verify they are correct. The verification process/equipment they use is very untypical of a standard diesel repair shop and allows us to look at many more system performance characteristics beyond average fuel output. They test from idle to full power using factory calibration points and a few of their own points added for the high performance market. They can fully map injector sets and have done so for a number of customers who want to best utilize their stand alone ECU, or EFI Live capabilities.
Exergy Performance® is a division of Exergy Engineering and is focused on the unique needs of high performance diesel applications. The need for this specialized attention was recognized after assisting in root cause analysis of everything from rough idle to broken engine components caused by "well meaning", but "inexperienced and/or under-equipped" fuel system modifiers. Given their history in the world of diesel fuel injection they have a distinct advantage in the areas of experience, innovation, and test equipment.
