We offer ball mounts that fit 1-1/4” to 3” receiver openings in drops/rises to suit every tow vehicle/trailer height combination, and for Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) from 2,000 to over 20,000 lbs. Trailer balls come in diameters to fit every trailer coupler, including 1-7/8”, 2”, 2-5/16”, and 3”, in shank diameters and lengths to suit every ball mount, and in a range of finishes including raw, stainless steel, and nickel chrome. But beyond the basics, we also have a wide range of specialty mounts.

For optimal safety, the shank of the trailer ball must show at least 2 threads below the nut and washer once they are torqued to specification, and these specifications can be as much as 450 ft. lbs. for a ball with a 1-1/4” shank diameter. If you always tow the same trailer or if all your trailers’ couplers attach to the same diameter ball, then consider a Euro or Fusion ball mount that features a permanently mounted ball. Besides not requiring the muscle and torque wrench, you won’t have to worry about anyone stealing your trailer ball. But if you need to accommodate trailers with different size couplers, one of our tri-ball or dual ball mounts will ensure you always have the right trailer ball diameter with you.

The ball mount must have the proper drop or rise to ensure the trailer is level when towed, but if you regularly tow trailers with different height couplers, it doesn’t mean you need a separate drop/rise ball mount for each trailer. Just use one of our adjustable ball mounts. They come in a range of drops/rises, some with tri-ball or dual ball mounts.
