This Automatic Transmission RTV Gasket Maker by Permatex is a single component, room temperature vulcanizing gasketing compound developed to provide reliable “formed-in-place” gaskets for mechanical assemblies. This material cures on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible, silicone rubber gasket that offers superior adhesion while retaining flexibility. This product is designed in conjunction with major US automotive OEMs and complies with extended warranty requirements. Typical applications include automatic transmission pans, case halves, and inside covers. Dries tack free in two hours; fully cures in 24 hours (cure times will vary with temperature, humidity, and gap).
