Robinair® was founded in 1956 by the Kent-Moore Corporation of Warren, Michigan, to design and manufacture specialized tools for repairing appliances. The name of the new company was a combination of the names of two Kent-Moore executives, Robinette and Adair. With the increasing popularity of air conditioning, both for homes and automobiles, Robinair soon moved into this growing market. In just a few years, the product line was the most complete in the industry. Today, Robinair, a Bosch Automotive Service Solutions brand, is a global leader in service tools and equipment based in Owatonna, Minnesota. Products serve the heating/ventilating/air conditioning/refrigeration (HVAC-R) and mobile markets, which includes the automotive aftermarket along with other industries such as agriculture and construction.
