Simply unscrew a spark plug and twist the rubber hose part of This tool into the spark plug hole. As you rotate the engine with a turning bar, the piston forces air through the whistle part of this tool. Once the whistling stops the engine is at t.d.c.

Sir Tools® was founded by John Sir in 1974. Four years earlier, John entered the automotive field, purchasing a gas and service station in Long Island, N.Y. In between repairing many VW air-cooled vehicles, he designed and produced several special service tools for his own personal use. At that time, special service tools for German vehicles were not readily available within the U.S. By 1973, John had designed and manufactured an extensive variety of special service tools. Tool Distributors making their weekly rounds were amazed at the vastness of John's tool collection. Tool Distributors finally convinced John to manufacture his tool designs for them. In 1974 John Sir left the gas station business and established Sir Tools. With nearly four decades of Sir Tools in service, the company continues to invent, develop and manufacture some of the most popular special service tools on the market.
